About the opportunity

 

A fast-growing European AI SaaS company is looking for its first commercial hire to launch and develop the Iberian market (Spain and Portugal).

 

Following a successful fundraising round and with a new financing phase underway, the company is accelerating its international expansion. Already trusted by more than 100 enterprise customers, including several leading European organizations, it has developed an innovative AI adoption platform that helps employees integrate generative AI into their daily workflows through the tools they already use.

 

This is a unique opportunity to build a market from the ground up while joining a company experiencing rapid growth in one of today’s fastest-growing technology sectors.

Your mission

 

As the first Senior Account Executive dedicated to the Iberian market, you will be responsible for building the company’s presence across Spain and Portugal.

 

This is far more than a sales role: you will play a key role in defining the go-to-market strategy, developing the market, and becoming the company’s commercial ambassador in the region.

 

Although you’ll work with a high level of autonomy, you’ll be supported by experienced Sales, SDR, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams based in France.

 

Responsabilities

 

Business Development

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Spain and Portugal.
  • Identify and prospect enterprise accounts, including large national and multinational companies.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers such as CTOs, Chief AI Officers, Heads of Innovation and Digital Transformation leaders.
  • Build and maintain a strong, predictable sales pipeline.

 

Full Sales Cycle

  • Manage complex enterprise sales opportunities from prospecting through to contract signature.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, product demonstrations and executive presentations.
  • Negotiate strategic, high-value deals with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate pipeline forecasting.

 

Trusted Advisor

  • Position yourself as a trusted expert in Enterprise AI adoption.
  • Understand customers’ transformation challenges and propose tailored solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders throughout the buying process.

 

Market Development

  • Analyze the Iberian AI ecosystem, competitors and market trends.
  • Adapt the commercial messaging to local market specificities.
  • Share market insights with leadership to support international growth.

 

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Contribute to defining and refining the company’s Iberian expansion strategy.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Identify the highest-potential industries and growth opportunities.

What we are looking for


Enterprise SaaS Sales Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of successful B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • Proven track record selling into enterprise organizations.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated success closing high-value strategic deals.

 

Technology & AI Ecosystem

  • Experience selling to technology executives such as CTOs, Chief AI Officers, Innovation Directors or Digital Transformation leaders.
  • Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
  • Previous experience selling SaaS solutions related to AI, digital transformation, productivity, learning or change management is highly desirable.

 

Entrepreneurial Mindset

  • Highly autonomous and self-driven.
  • Comfortable building a market from scratch.
  • Strong ownership mentality and results-oriented approach.
  • Able to work remotely while maintaining excellent communication with an international team.

 

Languages

  • Native or bilingual Spanish.
  • Professional English (internal company language).
  • Portuguese (nice to have)

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Freelance contract, with a clear path to a permanent position based on performance.
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): Uncapped commission plan (up to €100,000-€120,000 OTE).
  • Location: Remote within the relevant market, with regular travel to customer sites.
